The body of a girl has been found after a house collapsed close to Bury following reviews of an explosion.
It occurred on an property in Summerseat, a village within the Ramsbottom district of Bury, at round 9pm on Wednesday.
Better Manchester Police stated “a girl has sadly died” following the collapse of the property.
She was pronounced lifeless on the scene and one other girl and youngster had been taken to hospital with minor accidents, the pressure stated.
5 properties had been evacuated as a precaution and three folks had been handled on the scene for minor accidents.
Though the reason for the collapse has not been formally confirmed, Daniel Peace, who lives close by, stated “there was this enormous noise, like a bomb had been dropped in the course of the road”.
“I anticipated to look out the window and see a crater or one thing, it was unbelievable,” he advised Sky News.
A police spokesman stated: “Inquiries are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding this incident.”
A joint investigation is being carried out by police, Better Manchester Hearth and Rescue Service and native authorities.
Bury Council chief Eamonn O’Brien stated on Twitter that he had been on the scene, including: “The council and emergency companies are at the moment supporting residents.
“The group response has been unimaginable as at all times. Thanks.”
