Robert Downey Jr. Mourns ‘Shocking’ Death Of His Assistant Jimmy Rich

Robert Downey Jr. gave an emotional tribute Thursday to his longtime private assistant Jimmy Rich, who died in a automobile accident a day earlier.

Rich, who was 52, labored with the “Iron Man” star for nearly two decades and left an impression on many stars within the Marvel universe, Deadline noted.

Rich joined Downey on “The Singing Detective” in 2003 and can be his behind-the-scenes “proper hand man” in practically two-dozen films, Variety reported.

Citing the “horrible and stunning tragedy,” Downey wrote on Instagram: “He was a brother, my proper hand man, an uncle to our children and beloved by all who skilled his singular character and wit.
