An irate pensioner shot his neighbour in the face with an air rifle after hedge clippings fell into his garden.
Darrian Palmer, 37, says he’s fortunate he wasn’t left blind after the assault by neighbour Malcolm Newsome final May which left Mr Palmer needing hospital remedy.
Newsome was spared jail after admitting illegal wounding at Leeds Crown Court in relation to the capturing which passed off in entrance of Mr Palmer’s terrified youngsters.
Speaking to the Sun, Mr Palmer stated: ‘He was shouting, ‘Your f*****g hedge is in my garden’.

‘At first I did not even really feel it. The adrenaline had kicked in.

The courtroom heard the father-of-three had been trimming the boundary hedge between their properties in Dewsbury.
Retired HGV driver Newsome grew to become infuriated when a number of the trimmings fell into his garden.
