Passenger seriously injured as ute slams into car in Cooloongup

A lady was left preventing for her life after a ute slammed into a car in Cooloongup on Monday afternoon.

The crash occurred simply after 5pm when a white Holden Commodore ute ran into a stationary purple Toyota Yaris on Mandurah Street close to Kerosene Lane.

The pressure of the crash pushed the Yaris into the southbound lane of Mandurah Street, the place it collided with a silver Holden Berlina.

A 64-year-old lady in the Yaris was critically injured and was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital.

The 72-year-old man driving the Yaris and the 37-year-old man driving the Berlina acquired minor accidents.

No-one in the Commodore was injured.

Detectives are investigating the crash and are asking anybody with data to name CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 00 or make a report online.
