Olympic swimmer Scott Miller arrested after police claim $2m of ‘ice’ found in candles

An Olympic swimmer has been arrested after a major police investigation into $2 million worth of ice concealed in candles.

Scott Miller, 45, was arrested at his waterfront home in Rozelle.

Another man, 47, was also detained at a home in Balmain early on Tuesday morning.

Police will allege the pair concealed the drug known as ‘ice’ inside candles.

Detectives launched an investigation earlier in the year in a bid to crack down on the supply of prohibited drugs, mainly methylamphetamine, across NSW.

Officers raided a business in Bankstown, and two homes across Rozelle and Balmain, before the men were arrested.

Both men were taken to Newtown Police Station.

Investigations are ongoing and charges are expected to be laid.

Senior police will address the media later on Monday with more updates.

Mr Miller was briefly married to TV personality Charlotte Dawson between 1999 and 2000.

He won a silver and bronze medal at the 1996 Summer Olympics.
