Hero firefighters rescue dog from a backyard bore in Dianella

Hero firefighters have gone to nice lengths to avoid wasting a trapped dog from a backyard bore.

A Dianella dog proprietor Scott Hagenaars known as triple zero about 6pm once they heard noises coming from the bore in the backyard of their Cresswell Highway property.

Their dog Poker had plummeted 12 metres underground and wanted a big operation to elevate it again to the floor.

Six fireplace crews had been known as to the house, together with a specialist vertical rescue workforce, the place they arrange a tripod and pulley system over the bore’s entrance.

After 90 minutes crews had been greeted by a heartwarming sight — the dog alive and panting because it emerged from the bottom.


Footage exhibits a man, who’s believed to be the dog’s proprietor, patting its head amid the flurry of exercise round it.

“Poker, it’s okay mate,” he says in the footage.

The dog was taken to a native vet for a follow-up examination and is known to be protected and effectively.

“He is all proper, he is acquired no damaged bones or something,” Mr Hagenaars mentioned.

“He did not come out to go to us when me and my accomplice acquired house.

“Our different dog was a little skittish making an attempt to get our consideration now that I give it some thought.
