Guinea declares Ebola outbreak after three people die from virus

Guinea has declared an Ebola outbreak after not less than three people have been discovered to have died from the virus.

The fatalities are the primary Ebola deaths for the West African nation since 2016.

These people, alongside 4 others, fell unwell after all of them attended the burial of a nurse.

They reportedly all suffered from diarrhoea, vomiting, and bleeding, after going to the nurse’s burial in Goueke, which is near the Liberian border.

“She handed away on January 28, 2021 and her funeral happened on February 01 in Goueké,” Guinea’s well being ministry stated.

“The primary investigation counted seven circumstances, all around the age of 25 (4 males and three girls) together with three deaths (two girls and one males).

“All circumstances participated within the nurse’s funeral.”
