Gold Coast crash victim identified as dad Jamie Field, 33, as police investigate cause

A younger father has died after the automobile he was in misplaced management and slammed right into a tree on the Gold Coast.

Labrador man Jamie Discipline, 33, died within the crash at Pacific Pines about 5pm on Sunday.

He was a passenger in a black Mazda 6, pushed by a 24-year-old man, which was travelling alongside Pitcairn Approach.

Police consider the automobile could have misplaced management after clipping a median strip.

“It seems from preliminary investigations that method of driving could also be a contributing issue to this incident,” Inspector Karen Shaw stated on the scene.

“Sadly, we do have one deceased particular person concerned on this incident.

“Preliminary investigations by the forensic crash unit … have disclosed that just one automobile is concerned.”

The driving force and one other passenger, a 22-year-old lady, obtained non-life-threatening accidents.

Police investigating the crash are calling for witnesses to come back ahead.
