Emmett Taylor’s father speaks about arriving at the scene of horrific car accident that killed his son

A heartbroken father has spoken out about being one of the first folks to reach at the scene of a horrific car accident that took the life of his younger son.

Jacob Tayler has detailed the devastating second he approached the tragedy as he and his spouse, adopted in the car behind his mum and son as all of them launched into a household vacation.

Emmett, 9, died on February 10 in a highway accident, about 4km from Wickepin, in WA’s Wheatbelt.

He’d been travelling with his paternal grandmother and three canines when the white Toyota Kluger left the highway and hit a tree.

Tragically his stepmother Jasmine and father Jacob have been in the car behind them – so that they have been compelled to look at as the car continued to burn.

Emmett died on the scene and his grandmother stays in hospital with critical accidents.
