Coroner decides fire inquiry will not be held for Singleton house fire

A Coroner has dominated {that a} house fire within the New South Wales Hunter area that left three youngsters useless and a city devastated was “unintentional”.

Twin ladies, Matylda and Scarlett, aged 5, and their brother Blake, 11, may not be saved when their Singleton residence went up in flames within the early hours of June 26, 2019.

First responders managed to rescue their mom, Kara Atkins, and eight-year-old sister Bayley.

Early investigations had advised the fire began on the entrance of the house earlier than spreading to the again of the house.

Justice of the Peace Hugh Donnelly stated the incident was an “extraordinarily traumatic occasion” in a press release issued on Friday.
