Metropolis warming centers on the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., Englewood, Garfield, North Space, South Chicago and Trina Davila neighborhood service facilities have been scheduled to be open 24 hours a day over the weekend through the worst of the cold snap, in response to the town’s Division of Household and Help Providers. The division operates the facilities when temperatures drop under freezing, although hours are sometimes extra restricted.
