Matthew James Markcrow, 35, and his co-accused Crystal Marie Sawyer, 23, had been arrested in dramatic style after a four-month-long investigation on Friday.

Police bodycam footage of the arrest confirmed a small bag of white powder and stacks of $50 notes being seized as Markcrow was put in handcuffs.
Officers will allege they’re the proceeds of crime after Markcrow allegedly recruited girls between the ages of 17 and 24 to be concerned in a “intercourse slave ring”.
He would give his victims medication to cloud their judgement and management their residing, monetary and dealing situations, police say.
Each he and Sawyer confronted Brisbane Justice of the Peace’s Court on Friday.
Police Prosecutor Mark Hughes advised the court that Sawyer “acknowledged she was like a mom to the opposite ladies in the home”.
