A school group north of Adelaide is reeling after a teen was fatally hit by a bus.
The crash happened in Balaklava, about 92km north of Adelaide, in the course of the busy pick-up time on Tuesday.
Emergency crews descended on the scene about 3.20pm.
They labored frantically to free the 13-year-old boy, who was trapped beneath the bus.
He was unable to be revived.
South Australian Police say he was a “native boy”.
The intersection of Wallace Road and Could Terrace, close to Balaklava High School, was closed whereas Main Crash detectives carried out an investigation.
The group is being requested to keep away from the realm.
